QL2/ADP Internship

 

QL2 Dance and Australian Dance Party offer a year long internship to a recent graduate from one of the Australia/New Zealand tertiary dance courses. The internship includes; teaching, rehearsal assistant, admin, performance opportunities and regular professional dance classes and workshops. Please note: this internship is offered by invitation only.


Internship 2022

Gabriel Sinclair
Gabriel was born in Wodonga (Wiradjuri and Waveroo country), but calls Canberra (Ngunnawal country) home. After training at United TaeKwonDo for two years, he started with QL2 Dance in 2010. Gabriel started at the VCA in 2017, and in 2018 received the Norma De Gruchy award for most improved in classical ballet. Since graduating from the VCA, Gabriel has seconded at STRUT Dance's Hofesh in the Yard, been a demonstrator for the Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet’s digital archive, made multiple dance films, and produced music for Phaedra Brown’s Small Spectacle, and made music videos for his own music.

Internship 2021

Patricia Hayes-Cavanagh
Patricia Hayes Cavanagh is an alumna of QL2. After graduating year 12 in 2018, she went on to study dance full-time at Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year. While there, she worked with Leah Marojevic, Vicki Van Hout, Idan Cohen, Holly Doyle, Omer Backley-Astrachan, Jess Goodfellow, and Rafael Bonachela, amongst many others. Since returning to Canberra, she has become the inaugural QL2 and Australian Dance Party intern, assisting with QL2 projects such as Rebel (2021) and Terra Firma (2022). Patricia has performed with Australian Dance Party in Soul Defenders (2021), a-love-dance (2021), LESS (2022), and Escape From Plastika (2022). She continues her relationship with QL2 and ADP as a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer, and artist.
