QL2 Dance in Bangkok Thailand, July 2024
With support from artsACT, longstanding local organisation QL2 Dance travelled to Bangkok Thailand to represent Australia – on invitation from the Australian Embassy in Thailand – in celebration of the birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, 25-30 July 2024.
QL2 travelled to Bangkok to present two public performances at Siam Paragon, in partnership with long time collaborators Bangkok Dance Academy (BDA). Two First Nations Australian dancers represented QL2 Dance, Julia Villaflor (Wagiman) and Jahna Lugnan (Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr) - presenting their own choreography “Connected” as well as “Shared Language” created collaboratively by Ruth Osborne OAM (QL2) and Lordfai Pachimsawat (BDA) and remounted in 2024 with support from Alice Lee Holland.
