QL2 Dance members aged 10+ are invited to create short works for a performance in our Theatre, mentored by QL2 Artistic Director Alice Lee Holland. 

We are thrilled to announce our Junior Choreographic Project for 2025 - Giant Steps to Stepping Up (GS-SU). This year, GS-SU will take place as a school holiday workshop, during week one of the July school holidays.  

Sunday 29 June, 10:00am-3:00pm Initial choreographic workshop (all) 

Monday 7 – Friday 11 July Rehearsals and performance (schedule TBC) 

This is an opportunity to create your own 3-4 minute dance work, either on your own, or together with fellow QL2 members. This year, all young choreographers will be inspired by the same overarching theme, which is connected to the 2025 Chaos Project. This way, The Chaos Project will truly commence with your awesome ideas! 

The project will begin with a choreographic workshop to explore the theme in different ways. At the end of the Sunday workshop, with guidance from Alice, participants will decide their ideas and groups for the school holiday intensive.

The project fee covers a choreographic workshop, 8-10 hours of studio rehearsal for each piece, individual choreographic mentorship with Alice, design support (costume, lighting and music) and production in the A Block Theatre. The performance will be filmed and professionally photographed.
