Audition: now 18 Feb for Quantum Leap’s “TWO ZERO” in 2018

AUDITION DATE MOVED: December had too many clashes and too few dancers available. So, audition is now Sunday 18 February 2018 (10am) at QL2 Studio, Gorman Arts Centre.
Pre-registration is essential — fill in the form at the bottom of this page (but read this first)! And arrive 15 minutes early.

TWO ZERO is QL2 Dance’s major project for 2018 for our Quantum Leap ensemble (ages 14+) — which could mean you!. Creative young people auditioned from in and around Canberra will form the ensemble, and will create new work with Artistic Director Ruth Osborne and other choreographers, as well as re-visiting ideas from two decades of youth dance from Canberra’s Quantum Leap contemporary youth dance ensemble. Connected is QL2 Dance’s major project for the year for the Quantum Leap ensemble (ages 15+). Creative young people from in and around Canberra will form the ensemble, and collaborate with renowned choreographer Kristina Chan and the ‘Lingua Franca’ physical theatre makers Alison Plevey and Adam Deusien, under the artistic direction of QL2 Artistic Director Ruth Osborne. International visitors will also join the ensemble for the final weeks of the project. Audition 17 February! Quantum Leap last call for “Hit the Floor Together”

Register now online Even if you haven’t registered – come to the audition early, and see how you go: details here!   Come to this fun audition on 17 February (register first!) and get into the next great Quantum Leap project — “Hit the floor together”. You will work with great interstate contemporary choreographers, and perform at Canberra Playhouse (31 July–3 August ) as part of the Centenary of Canberra!
HTFT Audition flier_b03_P1_1200pxHit the floor together will be a collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous young people from Canberra and surrounds, plus dancers from Adelaide and NAISDA. You will create this new dance work with choreographers Daniel Riley McKinley (Bangarra), Deon Hastie (Kurrurru) & Dean Cross.
Open to ages 14-26, with dance or gymnastics experience — the more the better!  You will need to commit to Sundays from 10 March,  full time for 6 days during 13–28 April, plus 6–21 July, and 28 July–3 August.
Subsidised places at $400 for the whole project — and bursaries are available if you cannot afford the fee.  Register now online, go to the Facebook event page, or read more on our website.
