Kick Back - boys workshops Feb-Mar 2010
After two great Kick Back’s in 2009, QL2 Centre for Youth Dance in association with Fresh Funk are again bringing two top interstate dance artists to Canberra, to inspire and challenge boys (ages 14-26) to improve their dance. This year, each session is extended to 3 hours!

Marko Panzic, performer and choreographer, has worked and trained in New York, Los Angeles, London and Australia. He has performed for Australian recording artists including Jade MacRae, Che’nelle, Cosimo DeVito and Vanessa Amorosi. He is a choreographer in the second series So You Think You Can Dance Australia, and will bring his well-known blend of hip hop and contemporary dance to week one of Kick Back.

Rowan Marchingo is a performer, a choreographer and Associate Director of Australia’s leading physical theatre company, Sydney-based Legs on the Wall. Rowan’s work ranges from large scale aerial dance on the sides of buildings to intimate works of theatre. Rowan will bring gymnastics, contemporary dance and physical theatre to week two of Kick Back.

Local hip hop specialists Geza Szanto and Caroline Wall from Fresh Funk will be joined by Ruth Osborne from QL2 in weeks 3 & 4 to consolidate the material from Marko and Rowan, and present an informal performance in week 4.

Four Sundays: 21, 28 Feb; 7, 14 Mar 2010 • 4.30-7.30pm • $100 all up!
