About Angela Goh

Angela Goh is a performer and dance maker based in Sydney, Australia. Originally from Canberra, she was involved with the youth programs that evolved into QL2 Dance from 2002, including Quantum Leap, Hot to Trot and Soft Landing. Angela graduated from QUT in Brisbane in 2007 with a BFA Dance, Since then Angela has found herself dancing and making dances throughout Australia, Asia and Europe. She has worked with artists Carlee Mellow, Lisa Wilson, Suhaili Micheline, Amy Len, Branch Nebula, Younes Bachir for String’s Attached, Marten Spangberg, and Emi Forster. Angela has undertaken residencies through Ausdance NSW, Ausdance Qld, Metro Arts, and was artist in residence at Rimbun Dahan in Malaysia in 2009 where she returned in 2011 to take part in the Australia/Malaysia collaboration Bodies Across Boundaries. In 2012 Angela was the recipient of the danceWEB scholarship, a programme which runs in the framework of ImPulsTanz International Dance Festival in Vienna. Angela has also been the recipient of the Australia Council’s ArtStart grant and The Ian Potter Foundation’s Cultural Trust Fund.
