QL2 shortlisted for Australian Dance Award

We are very pleased that the QL2 Dance production Connected  has been shortlisted for a prestigious Australian Dance Award.  Connected is a triple-bill of diverse pieces, created in collaboration with the dancers of QL2’s Quantum Leap ensemble by renowned choreographers Sara Black, Kristina Chan, and Alison Plevey and Adam Deusien from physical theatre company Lingua Franca.

Connected investigates “the power that connections can have on the individual, and provides a unique reflection of our own lives – connecting out to those looking in. It explores connections through our skin, connections with the natural world, and how strength and empowerment affect our connections with each other.”

The annual Australian Dance Awards (ADAs) recognise and honour professional Australian dance artists who have made an outstanding contribution to dance. The full shortlist in all categories is available here.

We would like to congratulate all the shortlisted artists, especially Canberra artists Liz Lea and Phillip Piggin. Winners will be announced at the 2017 Australian Dance Awards in Melbourne on 24 September.
