For the Win is our “Chaos” project for 2014, giving younger and less experienced dancers a great opportunity to get into our unique program, building confidence and skills in a creative and physically challenging environment. It can be a natural progression to our Quantum Leap ensemble later on. And some older dancers are involved as well — challenging themselves, and inspiring the younger ones.

Jake Kuzma is a QUT graduate, heavily influenced by breakdance. He has perfomed in Antony Hamilton’s Black Project 2, Tim Darbyshire’s Stampede the Stampede and Flatline’s Sketch; and choreographed for QL2 in 2013.

Alison Plevey is a WAAPA graduate, half of dance and physical theatre company Lingua Franca and recent performer at You Are Here, Art Not Apart, and in Johnny Castellano is Mine at The Street Theatre.

Jamie Winbank is a Canberra-based independent dance artist, dance teacher, movement trainer and WAAPA graduate.

Here’s some snaps from early stages of development of the work.
